Ronald (Ronnie) Joseph Klemencic was born to Joseph and Frances Klemencic at Euclid-Glenville Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio on January 22, 1951. It took a while but his mother eventually admitted he was named after Ronald Reagan the actor. He and his parents relocated to an Eastern suburb of Cleveland, in 1954, where he was raised with his two sisters, Linda and Karen. Ronnie graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1969 and Cleveland State University in 1974. Known for having a great sense of humor, Ronnie's preferred type of movie is the comedy. Jerry Lewis, Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase and Jim Carrey are his favorite comedic actors. Ronnie’s musical preferences are the 1950’s pioneers of rock, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis, despite the fact that he was a child of the 60’s. His contemporary musical preferences during that time were The Beach Boys, The Beatles and the British Invasion bands. Besides Elvis, today Ronnie enjoys listening to music from the likes of Jimmy Buffett, The Raspberries, Led Zeppelin, Cheap Trick, Journey, and Rush to Weird Al Yankovic, the blues, and today’s country. Ronnie took accordion lessons just like every good Slovenian boy growing up in Cleveland during that era, and guitar lessons after the Beatles exploded onto the music scene, but did not pursue playing either of those instruments. However, Ronnie played guitar in short-lived Rock n Roll band in Cleveland, from late 1964 to 1966, called The Ticks. He also played the baritone in his high school’s marching band for one year and quit that. Thus, he is not very good at playing any of those instruments today. Ronnie is not known for his singing abilities either. However, being invited on stage at a bar or singing karaoke with family and friends while drinking, with others who are also drinking, may believe that his is not that bad, confusing tolerance for talent. Not being that great of a musician, Ronnie was able to get involved again in Cleveland’s music scene in the late 70’s, and early 80's by acting as manager and booking agent for a local band called Abraxas. Although originally, primarily a cover band, they had written many original songs, and released a single on Obelisk Records with both sides receiving airplay. The record's song titles were Pretty Poison b/w Paradise Rising. Abraxas soon became one of most popular bands in Cleveland and the Midwest during that time. After graduating college, Ronnie began a career in finance, and continues to work in that field today. Ronnie is the proud father of two sons, Christopher and Michael. He is also the proud grandfather of Mia and Evan, the children of Michael and his wife Wendy. Looking to live in a tropical setting for some time, Ronnie relocated to South Florida in 1988 and eventually met his mate, Melissa, better known as Mimi. Ronnie & Mimi reside in Palm City, a city on the east coast, just north of Palm Beach. Christopher, Michael, Wendy, Mia and Evan also live nearby.
